As we embark on 2025, I want to be honest in saying we, like so many of you out there, are concerned. We’re concerned about the safety of our most vulnerable communities; we’re concerned that programs and government assistance, which so many Americans rely on, are in jeopardy; and we’re concerned that opportunities for black-owned businesses, like ours, are intentionally being attacked and limited. However, times like these are when we must embody one of TDS’s core beliefs, “we are all organizers.” Now is the time to create community, to care for community and to protect community. We must all be organizers in our friend groups, families, faith communities, etc. And that organizing right now must look like listening and being empathetic to what your neighbor is dealing with. While the opposition would like us to turn inward, now is the time to turn outward and embrace discussion, debate and differences in attempt to bridge gaps and breakdown barriers. The Davis System is committed to doing this work in 2025 and continuing to prioritize our tenets: 1?? Being rooted in community 2?? Connecting Community to Resources 3?? Elevating and Amplifying Community Voices As I reflect on all of the work we were able to do in 2024, I am filled with gratitude for our clients, partners, and friends who continue to uplift and inspire us. And with hope, we look ahead to all that 2025 holds for The Davis System, believing the best is yet to come. Here’s to a year of growth, impact, and deeper community—together. “For hope, I look to the future. For joy, I look to the past.” Check out what The Davis System, LLC has been up to in our latest newsletter! https://lnkd.in/eVdu6emj

Whether it’s mobilizing voters, amplifying voices, or supporting transformative initiatives, our work is driven by a deep commitment to community empowerment. This season, we’ve had the privilege of standing alongside our neighbors, leaders, and changemakers to champion causes that matter most. From the halls of Hyde Park to national conversations about civic engagement, our mission remains clear: to build bridges and create opportunities that uplift every corner of our community. Here's a look at the incredible moments and milestones we've achieved this past month.

One week later, and we're still not sure we have the words, but this week we are choosing #gratitude. Our team is thankful to have had the opportunity to spend a full week in Pennsylvania leading up to Election Day, laying it all on the line for Democracy. From the day we got to Philly we plugged away being helpful however we could, from helping with office logistics for 3 different offices; making confirm and recruitment calls; knocking doors; bundling literature; and helping out in other ways behind the scenes. We were proud to be amongst the large contingency of Massachusetts residents, who traveled to swing states all over our country in protection of Democracy, and even ran into a few fellow Mass Dems while in Philly. While this round of the fight didn’t end how we wanted, we know we have a continued fight ahead, and as our VP reassured us, sometimes those fights take a little longer than we hope, but rest assured that when we fight we will win. We're sending everyone a reminder to rest up, refuel, and retool, because the fight will need each of us, but it will need us at our best. We can’t wait to keep fighting for and alongside our communities!
