As stewards of our world, it’s essential to stay mindful of the challenges our communities face. In Montgomery County, homelessness has become a pressing issue for many Upper County residents. Thankfully, organizations like The CORE Foundation are stepping in to make a difference. The CORE Foundation is a local nonprofit, provides critical assistance to the homeless community in Upper County, they have partnered with BlackRock Center for the Arts to offer showers every Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Beyond that, they provide essential resources such as clothing, food, and hygiene products. To help spread the word, Reworld Waste were boots on the ground. We visited local businesses, shared flyers, and spoke with residents to rally their support. On our way back, we had the chance to meet a few individuals facing homelessness. EsiSonia Sotoglo, CEO & Founder, generously offered them food and hygiene products. They opened up about their experiences and shared how much it meant to have someone listen and care. It’s because of compassionate individuals like EsiSonia —and organizations like CORE—that those in need can feel seen, supported, and hopeful. Together, we’re helping to restore dignity, one step at a time.

#MythMonday ?? Myth: If homeless people get jobs, they would not be homeless. ? Truth: Homelessness isn't solely about employment. Many homeless individuals are working hard, but sadly, it's still not enough to escape homelessness. Many are employed and housed and unfortunately, they are still at risk. Let's address the root causes and work towards real solutions. #HomelessnessTruths #BeyondJustAJob #EndHomelessness #TheCOREFoundation To learn more about how you can support the homeless in our community -> https://lnkd.in/eM5mV7Wb
