Supporting military-connected students by ensuring a smooth academic transition from one school to the next.
关于我们
The Continuing Education Plan's mission is to ensure educational continuity for military children from prekindergarten through fifth grade by providing a skill checklist that identifies content mastery, proficiency, skills in progress, or untaught content. With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by military families, we aim to fill the gap in existing educational programs by focusing on sequential skill progression, thereby preventing fragmented learning foundations and enhancing future learning opportunities for our young learners. Our vision is to become an essential piece of educational support for military children, enhancing existing programs and establishing a new standard for assessing and supporting sequential skill acquisition. We aspire to mitigate the 4-6 months of learning loss typically experienced by this group, fostering an environment where academic anxiety and stress are significantly reduced, and leadership opportunities are abundant. Through our dedicated efforts, we envision a future where every military child experiences seamless educational transitions, regardless of their geographic location or circumstances.

Everything we learned began with what we learned in kindergarten... Where would you be today without learning letter sounds, numbers, or counting with one-to-one correspondence? Though these achievements may seem minor on the larger scale, together, they form the foundation for future learning ... learning that shapes us to be productive adults. Now, imagine what your educational journey would have looked like if you missed one of these steps. During the early years of education, our early childhood students continuously build one academic skill to the next. This is why The Continuing Education Plan is so important, ensuring that our military connected students master all skills on their educational journey, minimizing the gaps in learning due to frequent military transitions. What is The Continuing Education Plan, and why is it important for military connected students in PK-5th grade? Watch to learn more... https://lnkd.in/gW9kvspa

Yesterday The Continuing Education Plan | CEP was presented at the George W. Bush Presidential Center as a part of the #StandTo Veteran Leadership program. Of the 1.2 million military-connected school aged children in the US... 360,000 military-connected students are impacted by 4-6 months of learning loss during military transitions each year. Those students will relocate 6-9 times over the course of their military caregiver's career. The Continuing Education Plan | CEP aims to make chronic learning loss a thing of the past. https://lnkd.in/gqgCCnSw
