Attention beats marketing and speed wins. We had a lot of fun with this crazy idea yesterday. As soon as we saw the news that the duct-tape Banana sold for $6.2 million at auction, we made a t-shirt with our Banana and sold it as a collectors item. We sold only 62 at $62.40. They sold out in 6 minutes. This wasn't in our merchandise plans or our social media plans. But our team was nimble enough to quickly make it happen and test this fun experiment. Could we have sold more? 1,000%. But it wasn't about money. It was about having some fun with a great tie in to our brand while creating some attention. Normal gets normal results. We don't believe in running marketing campaigns or sales funnels. We believe in creating attention with our experience and the unique things we do. Our season and tour is over. But because of the speed of our team and ability to quickly react and execute we were able to capture more attention in a fun way. News outlets ran stories on what we did and it created conversation for our fans. More than anything, it was fun for us. As we've grown to be a much bigger company, staying nimble and doing some spontaneous crazy things keeps it fresh and exciting for everyone in our organization.
