    ?? Job Tenure Trends in Accounting & Finance – Shifting? IT professionals have long been known for shorter, project-driven stints. But in accounting & finance, we're now seeing more early-career professionals switching companies 3-4 times within their first 5 years. So, how do executive leaders and financial leaders view this? - Is it a sign of ambition and high potential, or a yellow flag? - Does diverse experience across multiple companies add value, or does it signal a lack of staying power? Take this real example: Not long ago, I placed a CPA with 3 years of experience into a Financial Analyst role. He started in tax, then Senior Accountant, then Financial Analyst—and now, in just 4 years, he's a Manager of FP&A at his 3rd company. The CFO who hired him called him a "financial athlete"—someone with raw talent and upside. His stance? "I'll hire the best, and it's my job to retain them, challenge them, and build a culture they won't want to leave." But on the flip side, if someone is still in a Senior role after 5 years and multiple moves—without breaking into management—does that raise concerns? Or does experience across different companies, industries, and ERPs outweigh a concern? Do you see this varied experience as a positive—someone you would interview and consider? Greenville-Easley: Senior Accountant opportunity with a growing company. This role will have a nice variety of work (Accounting, Reporting, Analysis, Internal Controls, and more). Searching for someone who enjoys a challenge and will enjoy improving and building out processes. Greenville: Staff Accountant opportunity, open to entry level with a completed bachelors degree in accounting or finance. Report to the Director of Finance who is searching for someone who wants to continue to learn and grow their career. Greenville: Accounts Payable Manager opportunity with a well established company in Greenville with an excellent culture. Columbus, OH: Accounting Manager reporting to the Director of Finance. Searching for someone with a solid background with general accounting and analysis. Needs someone with solid ERP skills and someone who can work cross functionally with non-financial teams to provide financial visibility and in-sight, while also "running" the general ledger, close, and reporting.
