Compass was delighted to dedicate a full day to sharing our fundraising expertise with the League of Historic American Theatres in support of their work to sustain historic theatres across North America. We appreciate the enthusiastic and engaged crowd for the sold-out event, the vision of LHAT's Ken Stein, and the leadership and insights of our CEO Rob Bull and Arts & Culture lead Ricia Ballas to bring the conference to life. #Fundraising #HistoricTheatres #ArtsandCulture

For years, Compass has been proud to provide expert fundraising counsel to conservation organizations, helping them secure the support they need to protect our planet. From innovative strategies to impactful campaigns, we’re dedicated to driving change for wildlife and the environment. And while we don’t play favorites, it's hard not to have a soft spot for curious whales! #Conservation #Fundraising #Sustainability
Spyhopping belugas between meetings on a Friday morning? Just another day at Mystic Aquarium last week. Always a privilege for us at The Compass Group to work with this staff and board on their philanthropy and long-term plans. While Mystic has been delighting visitors and caring expertly for animals for a half-century, they're especially known for their belugas whose care is backed up by careful research, excellent interpretation to visitors, and strong partnerships with other organizations engaged in related work. Seems this morning, these wonderful whales are as curious about us as we are about them.

A majority of Americans live within one mile of a river. Last week’s board meeting of American Rivers reiterated the urgency of ensuring clean water, healthy rivers, and livable communities. The Compass Group is honored to provide fundraising counsel for American Rivers where, in just the past year, they have secured multiple new seven-figure commitments, expanded major giving, and engaged new cohorts of fundraising volunteers. These growing successes are fueling American Rivers’ work to address climate change, pollution, habitat loss and more as part of their drive to protect one million miles of rivers whether flowing through cities, wilderness, or agricultural lands. Special kudos to Tom Kiernan and Paula W. for their strong leadership that is powering this mission. Compass salutes American Rivers’ ambitious plans, effective advocacy, and philanthropic success for these treasured resources! #rivers #conservation #philanthropy

Lively discussion yesterday in our session yesterday about communicating meaning and urgency in long-term conservation initiatives. Eric Olsen and I challenged our audience to imagine the most powerful ways to show impact and to connect in creatively with donors, and they delivered with gusto. From drones to dashboards to case statements, the ideas were terrrific. This group’s passion makes me optimistic about the future of philanthropy for conservation. Great afternoon together at Land Trust Alliance Rally (which set a new attendance record, over 2,300) in Providence RI. The Compass Group The Nature Conservancy in New Jersey

Congratulations to the Fallen Journalists Memorial Foundation on this exciting milestone in making the memorial a reality. John Ronan Architects' unique all-glass design beautifully commemorates America’s commitment to a free press by honoring journalists who sacrificed their lives in service to that cause. #fundraisingconsultant #fundraisingcampaign #philanthropy
BIG NEWS – we are thrilled to unveil the first images of the innovative, all-glass design concept for the Fallen Journalists Memorial. Developed by John Ronan Architects and inspired by journalists around the globe, the design concept’s transparent, solid glass elements symbolize the work of journalists as they shine a light on the truth. Once completed and approved by the National Park Service, the memorial will be the first in the nation’s capital made almost entirely of glass – reflecting the critical importance of press freedom and honoring those journalists who have lost their lives in service to that cause. Congratulations to The Marine Mammal Center on this morning’s release of two rescued and rehabilitated male sea lions at Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, just one facet of this amazing organization’s work. A great turnout this morning of (quiet) guests, huge Center volunteer support, perfect setting, and cooperative patients who couldn’t wait to get back into their ocean home. The Compass Group is honored to work with the Center to strengthen its philanthropy to support their vital conservation mission. #conservation #oceans #philanthropy

Honored and excited to join the Board of Directors of the Public Lands Alliance, the national voice for nonprofit partners of America's public lands. From Wildlife Refuges to National Forests to National Parks (and more), these places add immeasurably to our nation's recreation, economy, social well-being, and environmental health. For nearly a half-century, the Alliance has connected partners, strengthened community, and advocated for public lands at all levels. This is a dedicated staff team, inspiring board, and energized membership. I'm excited to pull together my love of public lands, nonprofit experience, and philanthropy work through The Compass Group to advance this mission! #publiclands #nonprofit #partnerships #philanthropy
