Behind the Boardroom: Leaders of The Community Chest Meet our president, Amie Aburustum! Amie has been involved with the Chest for over ten years! She was first a volunteer, then a board member. She spent many years on the Young Women’s Leadership Program Committee and is the Chair of our Allocations Committee. Currently, Amie sits as our board President. What drew Amie to the volunteer was the difference the Community Chest makes locally. "We try very hard to address current issues and make a difference. It really is neighbors helping neighbors:)" Amie has a MEd in speech language pathology and has worked in many settings including acute care, rehabilitation and private practice. Currently, Amie is not working and spends her time volunteering for causes that mean a lot to her. She has three fantastic young adult children and spends as much time as she can at the beach!
