Racial justice and health equity go hand in hand. Accessing basic health resources has become increasingly challenging for many Coloradans. Black, Latinx, Native and Indigenous communities in particular often face more barriers to health support, and as a result, experience health inequities even more. Addressing systemic discrimination and social determinants of health that disproportionately impact communities of color is the first step to achieving health equity.

Health equity is at the core of The Colorado Health Foundation's work and funding opportunities?— but what exactly does it mean? Health equity exists when there are no unnecessary, avoidable, unfair, unjust or systemically-caused differences in health status. This is what drives our advocacy! #HealthEquity
