As I reflect on the past, I couldn't be more excited for the future. In a challenging world, I'm proud of the growth our baby, CSEF (College Skateboarding Educational Foundation), has made. We are honored to say that this year we awarded $90,000 in scholarships to 35 different recipients! In addition to the Zane Timpson and Ian "Poods" Barry Memorial Scholarships, the Atiba Jefferson Photography & Film Scholarship and our own Dean's List Scholarships, we added even more specialized scholarship opportunities in 2024. The Emerald Peace Scholarship (x3 this year) is specifically for first-gen college students, DACA recipients and LGBTQ+ skateboarders. The brand new Skullcandy Scholarship for Engineers is made available to engineering majors. And we even partnered with No-Comply Skateshop in Austin, TX to award $15,000 to Austin Community College student skaters via the No-Comply x ACC Scholarship. Although we were able to support these amazing skaters with $90,000, all of the 268 skaters that applied for a scholarship with us this year are on the hook for $1.7 million, JUST in tuition, PER semester.
