Our hearts go out to the people of Baltimore, especially the people on the bridge and their loved ones. This tragedy reminds us how vulnerable we really are. Coastal resilience is about much more than addressing flood risk. We look forward to seeing our Congress and the Biden Administration work together to unite our country in getting Baltimore any and all resources needed to rebuild.

With recent advances in wastewater treatment and unprecedented investment through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, there has never been a better time to connect septic tanks to sewer collection systems and actual wastewater treatment plants. Too often septic systems fail to perform, leading to devastating consequences in coastal waters like Baffin Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Galveston Bay, and Mobile Bay.
