???Congratulations to Webster's City Secretary Michael Muscarello!??? On October 31, 2024, Michael was sworn in as?Trustee of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association, Inc. (TMCA)?at its annual meeting in South Padre Island. TMCA is a statewide association with over 1,200 members. It operates the renowned Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program at the University of North Texas in Denton. This program, endorsed by state law, supports professional development for city clerks and secretaries across Texas. TMCA is also known for publishing key resources, including the?Texas Municipal Election Law Manual, Texas Municipal Law and Procedure Manual, and the?Texas Municipal Clerks Handbook. As Trustee, Michael will help accomplish TMCA's mission of motivating city clerks and secretaries to lead in local governance while providing educational resources for professionals at every stage of their careers. ? We're excited to introduce a new?Webster PD Employee Spotlight?feature, highlighting the incredible individuals serving our community each month! ? This month, we're proud to introduce Officer Tony Phan, who has dedicated over 25 years to the Webster Police Department as a Patrol Officer and Firearms Instructor. Originally from Vietnam, Officer Phan moved to the U.S. at age six and felt a calling to help others—a mission he lives out daily on the force. His dedication is evident through his multiple Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) awards for outstanding DWI arrests. For Officer Phan, the most rewarding part of his job is being there for our community when they need help. He builds trust by being honest and approachable with every resident. Looking ahead, Officer Phan is working toward retirement after 30+ years of service. Thank you, Officer Phan, for your unwavering commitment and passion for the Webster community! ??♂???

It's time to STOP.??? Speeding past the stop arm puts young lives at serious risk. ???School is in session!?That means more children are waiting for buses during specific hours.?Slow down?and stay vigilant around bus stops, where kids might gather or play nearby. ? Passing a stopped school bus is against the law and could have fatal consequences. Nothing is worth the risk!
