Meet Jessica S. ?? Jessica has been with Cincinnati Insurance for 6 years, where she has excelled in her role as senior marketing director. She has played a crucial role in ensuring key initiatives remain aligned towards business goals to best support the organization. One of Jessica's career goals is to create positive change, and Cincinnati supports her by trusting her to lead initiatives and cultivating an environment for growth and development. She appreciates the company's commitment to helping people, both customers and associates, and feels personally connected to these values. Jessica also serves as president of WINS – Women in Insurance, one of our employee resource groups. In this role, she is an advocate for inclusion, ensuring the group’s efforts drive meaningful change. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Jessica spent most of her life there before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she and her husband raise their two daughters. She is also an active board member of FASO, Filipino American Association of Southern Ohio, and serves as a volunteer for the Pastoral Council at her church. A Bridge to Better: Supporting new ways to better serve our clients. By the mid-1950s, Ohio was the only state prohibiting multiple-line policies. While insurance companies in every other jurisdiction from coast to coast, allowed residents to protect their homes from fire, theft and liability with a single policy, those based in the Buckeye State could not. After much lobbying by the state’s insurance industry, the Ohio Legislature at last took up the issue of package policies in early 1955. The new law took effect on Labor Day of that year. Sticking with our flexible approach, we decided to write individualized policies offering the best coverage more economically than cookie-cutter policies sold elsewhere. Thanks to John J. Schiff, Sr.'s (Jack) foresight and Robert Cosbey’s (Bob) hard work, Cincinnati Insurance was able to offer the new package policy as soon as the law allowed. At Cincinnati, it’s not about innovation just for innovation’s sake. Any approach must fit within our legacy of putting people and relationships first. It’s what has guided our cautious but forward-looking approach to business since 1950. It’s an approach that continues with the cutting-edge products, services and technologies we deploy today. ??: First commercial burglary policy, February 1952. Associates voted on their top picks with 1st and 2nd place winners in each age group shown below. For more than 40 years, we have proudly partnered with ArtsWave the primary organization funding Cincinnati-region arts and exhibits. ArtsWave supports more than 150 organizations each year that create thousands of concerts, shows, exhibitions, school-based arts, public art, festivals and events. Our three-week campaign is filled with virtual and in-person opportunities to give back and participate in activities to advocate for Cincinnati as one of the most arts-vibrant regions in the country.
