Our "Rock N Rowers" team -- featuring Christ Hospital providers, breast cancer survivors, and clinical staff -- paddled with passion for a great cause at the Dragon Boat Festival, securing 2nd place in their division! With one shared goal and unwavering support for each other, they tackled this challenge one row at a time!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Michael Honigberg, cardiologist-investigator in the Cardiology Division at Massachusetts General Hospital, will be joining us as a guest speaker at the Women’s Cardiovascular Symposium on October 11. Dr. Honigberg will present his expertise on "My Hormones Made Me Do It". Odayme Quesada, MD, MHS, FACC, FAHA, FESC In Dr. Honigberg's background training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and completion of clinical fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, he found his true passion. Dr. Honigberg, with training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a clinical fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in cardiovascular medicine, has dedicated his career to understanding the impact of women’s health on cardiovascular risk. His recent research has shed light on the cardiovascular consequences of preeclampsia and early menopause, including factors that increase heart disease risk in affected women. Most notably, he led the largest genome-wide association study on preeclampsia and gestational hypertension (Nature Medicine 2023), revealing new genetic risks to cardiovascular disease. The Women's Cardiovascular Symposium is intended for cardiologists, internal medicine physicians, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals who are involved in the management of cardiovascular disease in women. In recognition of her impact to women's heart health, Dr. Pi?a was honored in 2017 with the Wenger Award for Excellence in Research and recently received the American Heart Association's Meritorious Achievement Award for her work with high school students at AHA's National Sessions.
