Matching healthcare organizations with transformative leaders.

I’ve got a little challenge for you today. Let's see if you can figure out what connects these roles: ? Two - Nursing Home Administrators Four - Interim Nursing Home Administrators Two - Directors of Nursing One - Interim Director of Nursing One - Chief Nursing Officer One - Regional Vice President Two - Regional Nurses One - Regional MDS Specialist ? Take a moment, think about it... What's the common thread? ? Here's the reveal: All these positions are roles where The Chasteen Group had the joy of matching fantastic individuals to our clients in just the last 90 days! ? This mini-puzzle isn't just for fun; it's a reminder of how interconnected we are in our mission to improve senior care services. Each placement has been a step towards enhancing care, supporting teams, and making a difference in Skilled Nursing Facilities across the nation. ? (Ok… blatant self-promotion but, we are pretty proud of the work we are doing!)

Matching healthcare organizations with transformative leaders.

December’s demanding hours in nursing homes can take a toll, not just on us, but on our loved ones at home. For those with a spouse or partner, the strain of this busy season can amplify any underlying tensions. ? A healthy home life is a cornerstone for emotional resilience, particularly during these high-pressure times. ? But wait you say…….. staffing is a bear, especially during the Holidays!?How am I supposed to balance time off requests and caring for the residents? ? There are no magic bullets.?And I don’t pretend to have the answers, it was a struggle every year when I was a NHA. ? Regardless, leaders in Skilled Nursing have a pivotal role in recognizing and addressing this.?Ensuring staff have adequate time off in December isn't just a scheduling task; it's an act of empathy and care. ? It's about protecting our team's well-being, truly understanding that they have lives and relationships beyond work walls. ? Creating a supportive work environment means acknowledging the pressures that come with extended work hours.?Talk about it at a staff meeting, get out on the floor and ‘touch’ the people caring for the residents, give staff an extra 15 minute break while the department heads manage the floor.?These small gestures can make a significant difference in the lives of those who dedicate themselves to caring for others. ? In this holiday season, let's commit to safeguarding our staff's personal lives as diligently as we do their professional responsibilities. ? By fostering a balance between work and home, we not only uplift our teams but also enhance the quality of care we provide.
