With a focus on storytelling and connecting people to place, our team creates timeless designs that respect and reflect the region’s history, geography, and architecture. ? Our latest work—the reimagined Second Floor Event Spaces at?The Charleston Place—is a key part of the hotel’s ongoing transformation. These refreshed spaces introduce a contemporary perspective while honoring the iconic heritage of this beloved downtown address. ? Drawing inspiration from the city’s rich cultural tapestry, the design blends classical architectural elements with modern sensibility. The pre-function hall offers tranquil seating areas that speak to Charleston’s tradition of hospitality, encouraging guests to pause and reconnect. The ballroom spaces reintroduce classical motifs through a fresh lens, while the restrooms feature hand-painted Gracie Studio scenic wallcoverings, reminiscent of the lush gardens found throughout the city. Complementing this, marble flooring subtly references the intricate artistry of local sweetgrass basket weaving. ? Thoughtfully designed for gatherings both grand and intimate, these spaces invite new stories to unfold—refined, timeless, and deeply connected to place.

During this year’s Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) we were proud to partner with local brand Brackish to bring a one-of-a-kind experience to our community. Guests stepped inside The Carriage House to meet the artisans behind Brackish’s signature feather accessories, gaining a firsthand look at their meticulous craftsmanship. From custom design sessions to curated collections, the experience was a celebration of artistry, heritage, and the creative spirit that defines Charleston. This past weekend was truly memorable at The Shops at The Charleston Place. We celebrated the grand opening of Estelle Colored Glass—the iconic local brand's first-ever storefront. This elegant new space honors a legacy of craftsmanship and heritage, inspired by founder Stephanie Summerson Hall’s grandmother, Estelle, with each hand-blown piece telling a story of family tradition and timeless design. The festivities continued with local n/a beverage brand Sipland behind the store's elegant mocktail bar, adding an extra touch of creative refreshment to the celebration.
