Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! An initiative by the UN and now in its tenth year ??, this day always seems to go under the radar until its upon me! My 'campaign brain' is fully geared towards IWD on 8th March, but this is a worthy and extremely important precursor to that. Especially this year. The themes of each intertwine ?? nicely in 2025 and The CGT Circle is right behind it. ?? We all know the STEM exodus is real. By age 15, many girls have already opted out of STEM subjects. By mid-career, up to 50% of women leave technical roles. Our field can't afford to lose this talent. Girls can't afford to lose these opportunities. ? We're working with Biocair (thanks, Allison Panto!) to launch our most ambitious campaign yet – a landmark survey and the focus is on girls in STEM, attrition rates throughout education, and the impact this has on women's careers long-term. This survey is open to all women across CGT If you can, take 5 minutes. Help us understand. Help us change the narrative. ??
