We are excited to be kicking off our Postmortem Toxicology for Forensic Pathology Fellows and Toxicologists training today with a welcome by Dr. Barry Logan at the Mütter Museum of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. This course has been designed to provide an overview of the investigation of suspected drug caused and related deaths, the best practices for the pathologist and toxicologist to work together, best practices in toxicological testing, and the interpretation of the results. The outstanding faculty for this course includes Erin Worrell, James Gill, Donna Papsun, William Anderson, Daniel Isenschmid, Ph.D., Ponni Arunkumar, Dan Anderson, Simon Elliott, Laura Labay, MJ Menendez, Lee Blum, Meaghan Hessler, Amanda D'Orazio, M.S., D-ABFT-FT, Judith Rodriguez Salas, and Dr. Alex J Krotulski.

Call for Posters! ??? Current Trends in Seized Drugs Symposium When: January 13th – 17th, 2025 from 8:45am - 12pm ET each day Poster submission is now open for this year’s event. All submissions are welcome even if they have previously been presented elsewhere. Authors need not be present during the week but if selected, have the option of providing a video to accompany their submission. Thanks to the generosity of the CFSRE, this year there will be a $100 award for the best student poster. In addition, the winner of the student poster award will have the opportunity to present their work live during the symposium. ??
