Our Associate Director of Biology, Mirna Ghemrawi, PhD, was busy at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences’ meeting last week! The CFSRE sponsors the Young Forensic Scientist Forum's poster award each year at the American Academy of Forensic Sciences. We want to congratulate Abigail Noll (left) for her poster on "The identification and quantification of illicit drugs in blood using stir bar sorptive extraction and LC/QqQ/MS" and Kate Collette (right) for her poster "Transforming Bioarchaeology: Computer vision for Sex Identification in Skeletal Remains".

We will be sharing photos from last week's American Academy of Forensic Sciences' conference over the next few days. Here our scientist, Savannah Baker, is presenting her research on “The Stability of NPS Benzodiazepines” which evaluated parent and metabolites in blood, urine, and serum stored in various temperatures and storage containers.
