Thank you Exponent Philanthropy for the opportunity to serve as the opening plenary speaker at last week's conference. I shared about the importance of 'Extraordinary Giving in Extraordinary Times.’ These times call for giving in courageous ways!

From assuming you as a donor have all the answers to fixating on 'overhead,' there are many examples of giving 'done wrong.' But what does giving 'done right' look like? Phil Buchanan gets into the nuanced answers to that question, the vital and often invisible role nonprofits play, and how everyday donors can make a difference in the latest episode of How to Money with Joel Larsgaard and Matt Altmix. Tune in for timely advice for the Giving Season (and to find out what shows Phil's eclectic music tastes take him to ??) ??
Loved chatting with the How To Money guys about giving done right (and the last three concerts I’ve attended): https://lnkd.in/epESpq48

We're thrilled to welcome David McKinney to the CEP team! ??
Meet David McKinney, YouthTruth’s new Vice President! We asked David a few questions to get to know him better: ???????? ?????????????? ?????? ???????? ?????????? ?????????????? ????????????????????? ’Exciting’ isn’t the right word, but it’s clear to me that during this time of immense disruption, anyone who cares about education and young people needs to be skilled at listening to students—deeply, routinely, and with a willingness to act. It’s a privilege and awesome responsibility to help schools make that happen. ????????’?? ?? ???????????? ??????’?? ???????? ???? ?????? ???? ??????????????????? Many of us have been working on changes we want to see in education for a long time. I’d say the two issues that feel particularly pressing right now are support for educators and reinvesting in civics education. ???????? ?????? ???????? ???????????????? ???????? ???? ????????????? Truth be told, I didn’t have a great experience in school when I was a student. But the memories that stand out to me are when teachers showed me they cared and supported me, but held very high expectations for my success. Welcome, David! We are so thrilled to have you with us.
