Registration for the 2025 Camp Architecture and High School Design Studio is open! I am super excited for both camps this summer. Due to an increase in demand, we have expanded our summer programming by an additional three weeks in multiple locations including The Ohio State University and The Center for Architecture and Design which is located in the historic Lazarus Building Downtown. Expanding our programming will allow us to accommodate more students, provide more opportunities for local practitioners and firms to be involved, and provide more internship experience for our counselors (typically architecture and design students) where they gain leadership and development skills! This program is near and dear to my heart. I have been involved for the past seven years in various capacities, including as a counselor, a member of the Youth Design Committee, and currently serve as the Youth Design Committee Chair. We are always looking to improve and build upon our successes with this program, and rely heavily on our volunteers, staff and local partners to provide an excellent learning experience for students every year. We invite you to help spread the word, enroll your child, or contribute to a scholarship that will give a student the chance to attend one week of camp. These camps directly help foster a new generation of designers and give them a kickstart into the profession. As a board member for The Center for Architecture and Design we are excited to announce the 15th year of Camp Architecture and High School Design Studio is open! The program has expanded an additional 3 weeks holding camps in multiple locations, between The Ohio State University and Downtown at the historic Lazarus Building starting June 2nd. This expansion enables us to welcome more campers, enhance our leadership development and internship program for central Ohio architecture and design university students—who serve as our staff each summer—and showcase additional locations within our remarkable built environment. Regardless of the setting, we remain committed to delivering the same exceptional design camp experience as in previous years, featuring hands-on activities across multiple design disciplines led by professionals, along with engaging off-site tours. We invite YOU to help us spread the word, enroll your child, or contribute to a scholarship that will give a student the chance to attend one week of camp. This experience will allow them to connect with peers, ignite their creativity and curiosity, and inspire the next generation of designers.
