Congratulations to the 20 Dallas-area Catholic schools and churches, plus nonprofits that received $1.1 in grants today! Funded by the Foundation’s unrestricted Philanthropy Fund and funds established by individuals and families to carry out their charitable goals, the grants support a diverse mix of projects that include playground and classroom renovations, security enhancements and fencing, sanctuary lighting, baptismal font, work study shuttle bus, plus kitchen, roof and window replacements. "The community impact influenced by our grant recipients touches lives young and old,” said Matt Kramer, president and CEO of The Catholic Foundation. “These fall grants help local Catholic churches to be even more comfortable places for people to encounter Jesus, inspire area Catholic school students to grow in their knowledge and faith and assist nonprofits and their clients to find hope and experience mercy through the important services offered.” The Catholic Foundation has, over time, provided more than $300 million in grants to religious, charitable and educational organizations with $219 million being distributed in the past 10 years alone. Our team was fortunate to hear from Darrin Goldin, JD, CAP, Amy Grant, and Victoria Johnson alongside many other senior development professionals as they shared insights on strengthening partnerships between major and planned giving teams. This session provided valuable expertise on fostering trust and collaboration among gift officers with diverse talents and priorities, all in service of raising the quality of life in our community through effective charitable giving.
