Vincentians who serve as the hands and feet of Christ as volunteer representatives of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul North Texas come in all shapes and sizes. Regardless of their stature, each stands tall and proud in service to others. Such is the story of our 42nd annual Catholic Foundation Award honoree, Hank Hermann. Honored for his pioneering work that involved coordinating governance practices for Conferences of the SvDP and conceptualizing what is today the St. Vincent de Paul Charitable Pharmacy, Hank uses all the talents God has provided him. Whether you attended the 2025 Catholic Foundation Award Dinner or not, you're invited to watch the full evening video during which Hank was celebrated in word, music and video at a time and place of your choosing. During the evening, The Catholic Foundation also presented the 28th annual Hal Tehan Scholar Award to Jesuit Dallas junior Luke Nettune. During the gathering, Luke shared what a Catholic education means to him. Enjoy the video: https://lnkd.in/gPEtXGM4

Last December, we were fortunate to attend the opening of the Next Step Apartments for In My Shoes, Inc. It was a blessing to witness the incredible work Maria Puccini, LMSW and the rest of the team are doing to equip homeless pregnant and parenting women for successful living. The new cozy studio spaces are an extension of their mission and home, offering moms who have progressed through the program the support they need as they take their next steps toward independence. We are grateful to provide funding for this project, alongside the contributions from Dwell with Dignity, Council For Life Dallas, and The Interior in Dallas. To read more, view the story below:

Every year, The Catholic Foundation Award recognizes an individual, couple or family for their distinguished service and support to further the religious, charitable and educational needs throughout our local Catholic community. This year’s honoree, Hank Hermann, adds to the legacy of past recipients. This honoree video tells the story of Hank’s servant leadership and service. It also shares a tale of how a family member of Hank’s encouraged him to give back to society for all the blessings God had already provided him, and how Hank responded and then some.
