On this Day of Remembrance, we reflect on the injustice of Japanese American incarceration during WWII and the resilience of those who lived through it. Today, we were honored to welcome Congresswoman Doris Matsui as a guest speaker for our annual Time of Remembrance field trip program, where she shared her family’s powerful story of perseverance in the face of wartime incarceration. A heartfelt thank you to the Elk Grove Unified School District for bringing students to learn from those whose lives were forever changed by this dark chapter in history. By listening, learning, and remembering, we ensure that such injustices are never repeated. ?? Teachers, only two spots remain for this year’s Time of Remembrance program. Secure your class’s place and help students connect with this vital history. https://lnkd.in/gh8GMZuU
