  • Businesses become complex and difficult to scale when the business owner strays further and further away from the FUNDAMENTALS. You don’t need to track 100 different things to be “successful,” you just need to keep a pulse on the RIGHT things... That being said, here are 3 key metrics to track if you want to drive growth and profits in 2025: 1?? Your ideal customer count. Reverse engineer your revenue goal and average program price point to uncover how many customers you need at any given time. You can’t outsell your churn, so focusing on new client acquisition means nothing if you aren’t retaining those clients on the backend. This forces you to put EQUAL emphasis on both acquisition and retention. If you can get this one thing working, not only will you run a wildly profitable business, but a peaceful business with happy team members and happy clients who grow the business for you through renewals, referrals, and upsells. 2?? Daily sales. This is fueled by a ruthless focus on 3 things - building a dream 1000 list of potential clients that your sales/marketing team is in rapport with, call bookings, and daily miracle hour focused on outbound activity. 3?? The “5 Buckets.” A healthy weekly sales breakdown consists of not only NEW client acquisition, but past client reactivations, referrals, renewals, and upsells.   • Even as you hire the best of the best — your championship team will have a season of struggle. They will go through seasons of winter and summer. Seasons of planting without the ability to immediately harvest the fruits of their labor. Seasons of reset and recalibration. Seasons of slip back. It won’t stay winter forever — but it will if you aren’t addressing root cause at every level. Your million dollar tip of the day? ???? If you want to stop running into the same challenges over and over again, you need to stop treating the SYMPTOM and start solving the PROBLEM. ???? Take the wheel and don’t be afraid to get involved. ???? Ask your team “why” AT LEAST 3 times when something doesn’t go as planned. ???? Often times it’s not the strategy it’s ineffective execution of the strategy ???? Remember that if they knew how to solve the problem it would probably already be solved (your team doesn’t want to suck, so dig deeper to help them uncover the real reason they aren’t seeing results).

  • What you THINK is saving you money or you believe is the work-around solution to avoid hiring a full-time staff member is actually allowing money to pour out of your business. Many entrepreneurs have the idea that outsourcing work to part-time contractors is the right move, and that those contractors should be fully committed and invested in the success of the business. However, you can only (and SHOULD only) expect the level of commitment from an employee that YOU as the leader are willing to make to that person. If your commitment falls in the realm of spending a few hundred bucks a month for them to work a few hours for you, why would you expect them to invest their heart, soul, and mind into your business? This problem – inequity of commitment – is the real root and heartbeat of the quicksand hell of a duct-taped team. You simply cannot fail to invest and then rely on a hope and a prayer that you’ll have an unstoppable team. Thoughts?

  • Leaders: want to avoid major mistakes in the hiring process? #1: Ensure you have a detailed standard operating procedure in place to avoid hiring pitfalls {such as a video application process to filter out candidates, reference checks, etc.} #2: Stick to pre-determined interview questions and DON'T just "let the conversation flow naturally." By not asking the right critical questions, you might miss out on KEY information that would otherwise raise a red flag. #3: Hire executors BEFORE you hire leadership roles. This ensures a culture fit and actual capability to get the job done, versus teaching and directing others in theory. True leaders SHOULD be willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done no matter their title!
