For the second year in a row, we have been selected by Energage as a recipient of the 2025 Top Workplaces USA National Award in the 500-999 employees category! The winners are chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an external employee engagement survey conducted by Energage, where The Buckeye Ranch scored higher than the state average for behavioral health organizations on 82% of the scores. Our team members are the heart of our organization and make the lifechanging work of raising hope and providing healing for youth and families possible every day. Thanks to them, over the last year we supported more than 7,100 youth and families with more than 14,500 service encounters. We are humbled to be a part of the honorees and are excited for all the incredible work our team members will do throughout the rest of 2025! So, what is the Neurosequential Model of Therapuetics (NMT), and why is it important? ? Developed by Dr. Bruce D. Perry, the NMT provides structure for assessment of a child. ?At The Buckeye Ranch, we incorporate the latest, most effective methods into our care, including the developmentally sensitive Neurosequential Model. Described as “a developmentally informed, biologically respectful approach to working with at-risk children,” NMT provides a template for articulating problems, identifying strengths, and applying interventions to best address the needs of the individual. The model helps us to guide youth and families towards an emotionally regulated foundation, allowing us to relate and build trust, and then finally reason and work towards healing. New supervisor highlight! ? Meet Ali, our second Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) Supervisor at The Buckeye Ranch. Ali has been a licensed social worker since 2012 serving youth and families in community-based mental health. She earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University in 2018 and joined The Buckeye Ranch in 2019. Since then, Ali has thrived as an MST Clinician, passionately empowering families to keep youth safely at home and in their communities. As the program continues to grow, we’re excited to share Ali will begin a new role as MST Supervisor, where she will continue to leverage her strengths in connectedness and consistency to develop MST Clinicians and partner with our other MST Supervisor, Stacy, to serve youth returning home from the Ohio Department of Youth Services (DYS). MST is an evidence-based program that supports youth ages 12-17 with serious juvenile offences, mental health, or behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues alongside community partners. A huge thank you to our leaders at The Buckeye Ranch, Department of Youth Services, and MST Services for their continued support and guidance.
