We are setting the course for the future, increasing access to the Broad art collection, and bringing you new museum experiences. This is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter!? ?? The expanded Broad’s gallery and programming space will bring visitors closer to the artists they know and love—like Andy Warhol, Kara Walker, Barbara Kruger, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and so many others—as well as artists new to the collection—such as Cauleen Smith, Lauren Halsey, and Patrick Martinez. ? Our growing museum will include beautiful courtyards to hang out outdoors and flexible live programming spaces to encounter boundary-breaking performances and concerts, making everyone’s visit even more special. ?? ? The expansion is designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R), the architects behind the original building. We’ll break ground in 2025 and stay open during construction. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the expanded museum sometime before the 2028 Summer Olympics! ?? ?
