I really need to step up my LinkedIn game ?? Even though the year has had a bit of a bumpy start, The Bonita Project has been part of some incredible activations – starting with a big announcement... ?? We're now supporting L'Oréal Paris with some of their multicultural initiatives this year. A full circle moment, as this exact beauty brand was the first I ever had a chance to work on when I stepped into this industry 14 years ago. If you had asked me seven years ago, when I was launching this company, if I'd be here, I wouldn't have been so sure. Managing this business has been quite a journey, with its ups and downs, but it's been incredibly fulfilling to see it grow and build such a beautiful community of supporters online and offline. It's only Q1, and we've already made some incredible and impactful noise, including: * Our first surprise serenade stunt at influencers' doorsteps amplifying an up and coming artist, Dariel Amant (recap: https://lnkd.in/ebbVwjnY) * Executing a beautiful and thoughtful mailer to celebrate Black History Month * Hosting our first-ever networking mixer in Philly, opening doors and connections, all with the intention of giving back to the community. Shout out to Temple PRSSA's chapter for supporting our ongoing #BonitaAmplifies initiative. I wanted to give a heartfelt shoutout to my small but mighty team: Natalie Rodriguez Kassandra Vargas Ivonne M. and our most recent hire, Bryan Hernandez Let this be a reminder to all my fellow small agency owners: when one door closes, another one opens. In these tough times, let's remember that purposeful action is the key to overcoming challenges and finding our way forward. Here's to more Dani posts on LinkedIn! ?? #thebonitaproject #latinaentrepreneur #agencylife

In the spirit of International Women's Day, I want to celebrate the incredible women I worked with last month. The Bonita Project partnered with Temple's Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter to commemorate the third annual networking mixer during Black History Month. My committee and I helped invite local influencers and learned how to pitch to student media along the way! It was so fun working with The Bonita Team to bring an inclusive space for creatives in Philadelphia. Thanks to Honeysuckle, L'Oreal, and beauty sponsors, I enjoyed meeting guests at the glam station and throughout the night! I loved hearing Nicol and Cory's story of launching OCOA - Curly Hair Care for girls finding confidence in their curls. I remember a time when I was struggling to find the right products for my hair. Plus Poppi popped out again at a PRSSA collaboration ?? Thank you to The Bonita Team for involving us in the promotion of this initiative. Amazing connections were made in a city that hopes to see more events like this.

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the Bonita Amplifies Networking Mixer, an event dedicated to amplifying and connecting with Black creatives in Philly. Being surrounded by so many talented creators and visionaries was truly empowering, and I walked away with connections that I will cherish. Shoutout to The Bonita Project for bringing this event to Philadelphia — it's so important to have spaces like this to celebrate and support BIPOC creatives. Representation, recognition, and opportunities matter, and events like this show just how impactful community can be. And a huge thank you to Kassandra Vargas for the invitation! It was such a pleasure meeting you and connecting in person. Here’s to more opportunities to connect, create, and celebrate together! ??
