At The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation, we believe that every family deserves the basics of life - and that starts with a safe place to sleep and proper bathroom essentials. We're asking our supporters to help fulfill items from two Amazon wish lists that contain bedding and bathroom necessities. One is for a family escaping from domestic violence that especially needs three beds and frames. The second family needs one bed and frame. Ordering from these wish lists not only supports families in crisis, they display love in action, direct to the family who needs it! Let’s show these families that they’re not forgotten. Here at The Black Fairy Godmother Foundation, we have huge, huge opportunities, especially with the Angel Food Assistance Fund. Our Angel Food Assistance Program helps marginalized families across America receive emergency food via same-day service through Instacart. All of our families are fully vetted. They fill out the application whether they need food assistance, medical supplies, or even baby formula. After we receive their inquiry, we will go ahead and send those groceries and medical supplies. We will also utilize our smile, by spreading kindness to the families by including a nice plant, or a bouquet of flowers. She has her two kids and is working to rebuild her life and needs some household items so she can make a safe, comfortable home for her and her children. I just want to talk with you guys about the many, many companies and organizations we partnered with this year. Of course, with our Angel Food Assistance Fund, we have partnered with Instacart. With domestic violence and some of the homeless families we have, Extended Stay America has extended their partnership with The Black Fairy Godmother Domestic Violence Fund. We have partnerships with Robert Wood Johnson and Prudential, and for our Fairy Dust Scholarship Program, we were able to have a special partnership with the Tory Burch Foundation. Many of you are writing in letters and asking me: How do we know that an organization during this holiday season is that organization? Are they really granting wishes? Where is my money going? I am here to give you a PSA. I have been The Black Fairy Godmother for some time now and these are things that can really give you the eye. Always go to GuideStar. GuideStar is now Candid's GuideStar, and you can look up the EIN number of the organization and see their testimonials, see their programs, and also see their financials. That will really tell you their story of where the money of the organization is going. Look for some of the stories. Connect the dots, connect the faces. Is this AI or is this the actual family that needs help? You be the one to judge. How long has this organization been established? What companies are connected to the organization. That is the eye for you, right? Always do your research. You can always reach out to any nonprofit organization. There should be an email or phone number where you can contact them and you can have questions of your own. That way you can hear from the foundation yourself. Who are they? Are they really behind their mission? Where are the funds going? What can the funds do to continuously make an impact on a monthly or yearly basis. Hey, that’s my PSA.
