So excited to be included as 1 of 5 sustainable undergarments brands included on a list by Hypebae!
I was delighted and surprised to discover a couple of weeks ago that we had been included as one of five sustainable undergarment brands recommended by one of my favorite outlets, Hypebae, by HYPEBEAST, especially since it was on a list of dream shout outs I made at the beginning of the year. Thank you to the team there for this incredible inclusion and for making our manifestations come true!!

I'm beyond thrilled The Big Favorite made the list as 1 of the 12 Best Women's T-shirts of 2024 as chosen by New York Magazine! We've now been featured on their lists 3 times, not because we pay for expensive PR (though I'd love to), and not because we pay affiliate fees (because we don't), but because we consistently deliver an amazing, quality, long-lasting, versatile product that the industry is now recognizing as a serious player in the basics game. Many brands think of cut-and-sew knitwear as an afterthought - something to add on at an entry level price point to get more leads across the conversion line or an opportunity to increase AOV. During my years in the industry, I learned this category truly sustains businesses in the long run. It was the best performing category for J.Crew in the recovery period after the 2008 crash and some of the most iconic, historic brands are basics brands. So... The Big Favorite has entered the chat, and we're just getting started.

There’s a common thinking that we can save the planet by partaking in a kinder form of consumption - that if we consume better, it will save us all. The Big Favorite wants to take that thinking to the next level for Earth Month. Yes, we should consume better; however, we are all microcosms of this planet. It’s no wonder the Earth is in a state of dis-ease with most of us lonely, sad, angry, and distracted. Consuming in these states is disconnected from our true selves. Therefore, buying a better product doesn’t go far enough in our opinion. We need radical healing and introspection. TBF proposes that self-healing and self-discovery are the only ways to save the planet. We believe that when we heal traumas and focus on knowing ourselves (what makes us happy, excited, joyful, and purposeful), we start to develop an authentic filter; a unique dialogue with ourselves based on needs and purpose. The desire for excess dissipates and we become more compassionate (com·pas·sion, noun: sympathy and concern for others) toward each other and everything we connect with on a daily basis. Therefore, heal the planet by healing yourself. Envision a better future by knowing yourself. Would love to know your thoughts!
