We did it again! For the fifth year in a row, BRYC has been recognized as one of the best places to work in the Capital Region by the Baton Rouge Business Report. We’re thrilled to announce that we placed third in the small business category and 10th overall in Baton Rouge. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our growing, incredible team.

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University launched Wolfpack: Health Fellows Academy on July 22, a three-year pilot project to engage 120 students with intensive, immersive educational experiences leading to heightened awareness of healthcare careers, personal wellness and community health thanks to the BCBSLA Foundation funding of $110,000. Goals include increasing the number of capable and highly motivated high school students interested in entering and completing healthcare-related studies; expanding career and educational choices of under-resourced, diverse high school students; and supporting the personal health of each Fellow and the members of their communities. Participants interacted with healthcare professionals and participated in simulation exercises. At the end of each summer week-long intensive experience, each cohort assisted in administering free health screenings to family members and others at a community health fair sponsored by HFA healthcare partners. Foundation laid! Engineering Fellows, a new BRYC X ExxonMobil partnership, kicked off last week with 10 aspiring BRYC engineers meeting their Exxon mentors. From September through May, Fellows and mentors will meet monthly to discuss what it takes to succeed in the workplace, and mentors will also provide guidance with internship- and job-hunting. Thank you, ExxonMobil team for making this game-changing opportunity possible!

Yesterday, nine College Fellows and Alumni polished their professional chops at the 2024 YP Summit, a day-long conference presented by Visit Baton Rouge and jointly hosted by Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Forum 225. BRYC covered the registration fee so Fellows could focus on forging valuable connections with other early career professionals in their fields. We’re beyond proud of how they conducted themselves, and we can’t wait to see how our CF/As will make the most of this experience to further their career goals. ??
