Founded in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania in 1967, The Bair Foundation is a non-profit ministry serving children and families. We have provided quality care and services to children, youth, and families through a myriad of effective community-based services. Today, The Bair Foundation provides services in 9 states, including Kentucky, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennesee, Texas and Virginia. Our programs are child-centered, family-focused, strength-based and culturally competent which are making a significant and positive impact on the children and families we serve. We strive to touch lives and create a better future. The Bair Foundation Child & Family Ministries is a 501(c)3 organization and is a member of the Christian Alliance for Orphans and the Council on Accrediation COA.

The Bair Foundation Child and Family Ministries is dedicated to finding loving homes for the over 120,000 children and teens in the foster care system. They operate across nine states and have offices in North Carolina. Through intensive training and support, they empower foster parents to provide the highest level of care, especially for children with special needs. Their programs include Therapeutic Foster Care and Foster to Adopt options, emphasizing the importance of a strong support system for both foster parents and children. While emotionally challenging, the team finds great reward in helping children find permanent homes. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the need for foster parents, and the foundation actively recruits individuals from diverse backgrounds. They stress the importance of finding the right fit between child and parent to minimize disruptions and trauma.
