At BPTC, we are committed to supporting environmental initiatives as part of our National Action Plan for achieving carbon neutrality. We strive to embed sustainability into our workplace culture while upholding our community values. As part of this event, we’re planting trees at various locations, with many contributions coming from our employees. Our team has also transformed green spaces near our office buildings, and we plan to expand these efforts across multiple sites. BPTC is committed to supporting the Kingdom’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. We will continue to plant saplings as we welcome new team members, raising awareness and contributing to national and global efforts for environmental security. World Mental Health Day A?Mental Health Workshop?was organized for our employees by Bushra Alhindi, founder and CEO of Bushra Alhindi for Workplace Wellbeing, in collaboration with our learning partner Lumofy | ???????. This workshop reflects our commitment to understanding and prioritizing mental well-being, which is essential in our fast-paced and often stressful lives. During the interactive workshop, we explored various aspects of mental health, including stress management, coping strategies, and the importance of seeking help. "Breast Cancer Awareness " Breast Cancer Awareness session for our colleagues, led by Dr. Rebeka R. Thaman, Specialist in General Surgery from KIMS Health Hospital. The session took place in the Idea Souq at the Isa Town Depot. Female colleagues from various departments attended, and our goal was to empower each other with knowledge while fostering a supportive environment for discussing prevention, early detection, and treatment options. Breast cancer is a significant health concern, but education and awareness can help us confront it effectively. By understanding the risks, recognizing the signs, and promoting regular screenings, we can positively impact our lives and the lives of those we care about. This session provided an invaluable opportunity for meaningful discussions, questions, and shared learning. His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, received Mr. Rob Conway, General Manager of the Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC), amongst other members of the company’s Board of Directors. ? During the meeting, His Excellency the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications praised the efforts made by BPTC, stressing the importance of strengthening the existing partnership between the two entities by improving the public transportation experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain. ? During the meeting, the existing partnership between the Ministry and BPTC in the field of operating mass transit buses was discussed, as well as reviewing ways to further develop these services to meet the future aspirations of the transportation sector. ? BPTC and Bahrain Channels Company announced a new agreement that allows the issuance and reloading of the BPTC GO Card at additional locations across the network of Channels devices in Bahrain. The partnership was signed between Eng. Majid Al-Hashli, General Manager of Bahrain Channels, and Mr. Rob Conway, General Manager of BPTC. Representatives from the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, as well as members of the management teams from both Channels Company and BPTC attended the signing ceremony. "This new partnership will enhance the GO Card user experience by providing more options to easily reload their cards," Mr. Conway said. “The expansion of the GO Card refill network is also an important step in improving public transport and infrastructure services across Bahrain.” Engineer Majid Al-Hashli added, "Channels is proud to cooperate with Bahrain Public Transport Company in this initiative. Our extensive network of devices across the country will provide a valuable additional service to travelers, supporting ongoing efforts to improve mobility and accessibility for residents and visitors in Bahrain." The agreement between the two companies is expected to come into effect in the coming months, providing GO Card users thousands of new sites to reload via the Channels network. This partnership is another step forward in enhancing the public transportation experience in Bahrain, making it more convenient for residents and visitors to utilize the GO Card system.

BPTC is proud to have been a part of the Apprenticeship Program Launching Ceremony & Introductory Day for companies and students held by Bahrain Polytechnic earlier today. The event was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Tamkeen, the Bahrain Chamber and the participating employers. ?
