One of the many challenges for Australians seeking work in the US is condensing their three or four page resume into one page. Creating "The Perfect Resume" is therefore an important subject in the E3 University's curriculum. Where many fail in securing an interview is that they have a one-size-fits-all resume and not tailoring it to a specific Job Description. This is where AI can play a significant role: whether it is creating The Perfect Resume, performing a gap analysis, or compiling a list of possible interview questions. Also, make it easy for human, or the AI, that may be ranking your resume. Only include information that is relevant to the Job Description. Below is an example of a Perfect Resume. It disrupts the normal format, but consider this: Work history is there to identify gaps in dates, whether you have held similar roles, and the reader generally has to wade through all of your history to identify the achievements that are relevant to the Job Description. So why not present it in a high ranking, easily digestible format - and in the process keep it to one page? Your thoughts?

Announcing The Australian Community "E3 University" The Australian Community Job Fair was created in 2011 out of a need for our members to find work on the E3 visa. Back then, it had only been in existence for five years so there was little information on the application process. Our Community Job Fair v1.0 connected our members to information as well as Allies and “Australian Friendly” Recruiters. However, as the Community Job Fair expanded its offerings, it became clear that for Australian Job Seekers to be successful in realizing their dreams, they need to have a formal process of education, access to tools, knowledge and ongoing support. The Australian Community is excited to announce the launch of the E3 University in January 2025. https://lnkd.in/eAjBRNef
