Associated Construction recently held its annual fall outing at the 2024 Durham Fair! The event provided a valuable opportunity for our organization and its employees to come together under the fair's renowned Beer & Wine tent, where we indulged in a selection of refreshing beverages, listened to great music, and enjoyed the rides. The CT Life Sciences industry has been in full swing lately! Associated Construction was proud to participate in several key industry events, including the Greater NH Chamber 22nd Annual Healthcare & Life Sciences Awards, the 2024 Marcum New England Life Science & Biotech Summit, BioCT's Annual Bioscience and Beer Mixer, as well as hosting a Safety Stand Down at one of our ongoing pharmaceutical laboratory renovation projects. Associated Construction remains dedicated to supporting the continued advancement and establishment of Connecticut as a preeminent center for biopharmaceutical innovation and development. During the meeting, key updates were communicated, emphasizing the importance of aligning with the company's vision. Last week we attended some fabulous events! At the CCIA Energy & Environment Conference, we learned about what life will look like after the Transfer Act as CT moves towards a release-based system, and its effects on real estate. Also discussed were PFAS chemicals and their prevalence in our everyday life. Legislation has recently been passed that will force water treatment plants to address this concern. Thank you, Azalea Bisignano, for representing Associated Construction and keeping us up-to-date on the latest changes impacting our industry. Also attended was the Construction Institute 2024 Annual Dinner & Awards at The Society Room of Hartford. It was an incredible evening honoring well deserving awardees, reflecting on the impact Construction Institute has on our industry, and enjoying the company of colleagues and friends. Alexis Mangan spoke at the dinner, and paid tribute to Associated Construction founder Angelo Giardini, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at this very dinner in 1985, which was Construction Institute’s 10 Year Anniversary. It was an evening to remember! #successthroughperformance
