STOTTERKAMP: CAMP DREAM.SPEAK.LIVE In het prachtige Zeijen (zie de natuurfoto ??) zal het stotterkamp Camp Dream.Speak.Live plaatsvinden op 6-7-8-9 mei. Voor sommige scholen de tweede week van de meivakantie, voor andere scholen de eerste schoolweek na de vakantie. Kinderen & cli?nten (van alle praktijken of niet in behandeling) van groep 3 t/m groep 8 zijn welkom! Er zijn al een paar kinderen aangemeld die met goedkeuring van school vrij hebben gekregen! Over Camp Het doel van het stotterkamp is onder andere om de impact van stotteren te verlagen. Camp Dream. Speak. Live. The Netherlands is een wetenschappelijk bewezen groepstherapie voor stotteren. Het kamp is leuk en leerzaam tegelijk. Het is een intensief behandelprogramma voor kinderen die stotteren. De focus ligt op het verminderen van de impact van stotteren en het vergroten van het zelfvertrouwen en de veerkracht van de kinderen. De start is elke dag om 9:30 (inloop vanaf 9:15). De eerste drie dagen halen ouders hun kind weer op om 15:30 uur. De laatste dag is er voor kinderen, omgeving en logopedisten een afsluiting om 15:30 uur die tot 17.00 uur duurt. Het kamp wordt vergoed door de zorgverzekering. Ouders wordt een eigen bijdrage gevraagd van 100 euro. Het DamstéTerpstra Fonds vergoedt dit voor ouders die dat niet kunnen betalen. Dit werkt ’no questions asked’. Als ouders op het aanmeldformulier een vinkje zetten dat ze ervan gebruik willen maken, dan is dat voldoende. Vier jaar en tien kampen lang hebben we een programma van drie dagen gehad. 'De dagen waren erg lang' of 'mijn kind sliep zelfs in de auto terug' kregen we terug van ouders. Daar moest iets aan gebeuren. Ook is Camp Dream Speak Live steeds universeler geworden, met standaard meer dagen. Wij bewegen natuurlijk graag mee met deze ontwikkelingen en feedback om Camp wéér een stapje beter te maken. Femke en Joeri hadden een mooie 'camp-dag'; waarin we het blokkenschema dat voor alle internationale partners van het The Arthur M. Blank Center for Stuttering Education and Research als voorbeeld dient, hebben aangepast voor de Nederlandse situatie! Komend jaar wordt Camp vier kortere dagen, zodat de inhoud nog beter kan landen bij de deelnemers. We kijken erg uit naar de meivakantie, waar de eerste twee edities met dit nieuwe schema zullen plaatsvinden!
