The Arc Southwest Indiana

Earlier this month, some of our leadership team had the privilege of attending the INARF (Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities) 50th Anniversary Gala and Conference. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with other organizations, learn from industry experts, and celebrate 50 years of advocacy and support for individuals with disabilities across Indiana. We are proud to be part of a community that is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and we left the conference feeling inspired and motivated to continue our mission here at The Arc Southwest Indiana. Thank you to INARF for hosting such a meaningful event and congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone!

We just want to say a massive THANK YOU for all the hard work volunteers put into our landscaping during the United Way Of Gibson County's Week of Caring. You all truly transformed our space, and it looks amazing! Your dedication means so much to us and the people we serve. We’re so grateful to have such wonderful support in our community! We are incredibly grateful to Gibson County Community Foundation and board member Christina Hager from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana (TMMI) for selecting The Arc Southwest Indiana to receive a generous $3,000 award. This award comes from the Gibson County Community Foundation in celebration of 30 years of supporting our community. Our friend Alejandro completed his sixth climb at the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at FDIC International. He climbed today in memory of Robert T. Linnane. 2,200 steps 110 floors Climbing to remember the fallen. We remember the 343.. #NeverForget #911StairClimb #FDICStairClimb

The artwork in these images was crafted by artists with disabilities from The Arc Southwest Indiana creative arts center in Petersburg, IN. I had the privilege of presenting this unique Indiana artwork to Senator Young in 2019. On my recent trip to DC, I had the opportunity to meet with the senator's staff, and to my delight, I was greeted by the sight of their beautiful creation.
