Tickets are now on sale for The Arc of Northern Virginia’s “Illuminating Inclusion” Gala, which will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The Gala will unite hundreds of our community members, elected officials, and leaders in the business and philanthropic communities alongside our families, longstanding supporters, and partners. This glamorous evening will start with an open-bar cocktail reception and silent auction, proceed to a seated, gourmet dinner, followed by our program and live auction, and end with music and dancing. We hope you can join us as we shine a light on the importance of inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community. The Gala helps raise essential funds that make all of our programs, services, and advocacy education possible for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities of all ages and their families. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include tickets for the event. Tickets are now available for the Super Early-Bird price of $225, which is $50 off the regular price. We had multiple incredible speakers throughout our Gala. Our Executive Director, Melissa Heifetz, set the tone for the night with an inspiring welcome. We were then joined by our incredible emcee, Frank Stephens, who guided us through the event with heart and humor. Michael Thomas touched us all with his family's story as we transitioned into a lovely dinner. Following the meal, our Gala Co-Chairs, Patricia and Thomas Connall, shared their journey and honored outstanding employers with the Employment Awards. Congratulations to Booz Allen Hamilton, Dude's Dog House & Spa, Tysons Corner Marriott, and Weird Brothers Coffee for their exceptional work in our community. To close out the evening, Toby and Lindsay Latham, also Gala Co-Chairs, shared their heartfelt family story and led us into a powerful Special Appeal. Thank you to all of our speakers who made this night so special.

The evening of our Illuminating Inclusion Gala was kicked off with cocktail hour, where guests mingled, enjoyed drinks, and explored a stunning array of silent and live auction items. From one-of-a-kind experiences to exclusive treasures, the auction set the stage for a night of generosity and celebration. As the room buzzed with excitement, our supporters eagerly placed their bids, knowing that each contribution would help further our mission of inclusion!
