Last week, TALI proudly hosted its inaugural, two-day mid-point conference for its 2024 National Executive Leadership Academy cohort in Dallas, TX. “We were thrilled to be able to add this conference to our already robust curriculum. Based on feedback from our inaugural 2023 National Executive Leadership Academy cohort, we learned that connection points, such as this conference, enhance the overall programming experience,” says Evan Frazier, TALI's President and CEO. “Many of the participants, who are part of the national cohort, reside in various states, so this conference provided a great opportunity for our cohort members to strengthen the bonds they quickly formed with each other at the beginning of the program.” We were pleased to have another chance to reconnect with the cohort members in person! With the launch of TALI's Emerging Leaders Program at Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business last Friday, we are excited to announce our 2025 cohort! These 31 talented leaders represent the wealth of Black talent in our region, and we cannot wait to watch these emerging leaders flourish! On October 2nd, we hosted our annual TALI Mentor Recognition Reception at the August Wilson House! Attendees enjoyed live music, a tour of the August Wilson House, special remarks from TALI Advisory Board Member and Founding Co-Chair Greg Spencer, and an opportunity to celebrate TALI Mentors for their significant contributions. Additionally, we proudly named Quintin Bullock as a Legacy Mentor (an individual who has served as a TALI Executive Mentor for five years). On September 25th, TALI proudly offered its inaugural Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop to its sponsor organizations and their team leaders! During the day-long immersive workshop, top industry experts and accomplished Black professionals on a leadership panel covered topics on solving daily management and leadership challenges. To conclude the day, we hosted an evening reception and certificate ceremony! “We were pleased to add this new training opportunity to TALI’s leadership program portfolio,” says Evan Frazier. “Although our programs traditionally support the executive advancement of rising professionals to senior-level executives, our corporate partners asked us to apply our leadership training to support frontline leaders." Last week, we celebrated the beginning of our 2024 National Executive Leadership Academy! During this week-long immersive experience, the 2024 cohort members participated in academic sessions led by top instructors and professors, such as Dr. Valerie Purdie-Greenaway, Leanne Meyer, and Sunkee Lee (to name a few). Additionally, participants had the opportunity to expand their personal and professional networks. Lastly, the week concluded with an inspirational keynote address delivered by TALI Alumna Steffanie Jasper during a special reception with the TALI Family. We thank our academic partner Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business (CMU), the TALI and CMU teams, faculty, and stakeholders for making this kickoff a success. On Monday, TALI officially launched the second year of the National Executive Leadership Academy and greeted the 2024 cohort!
