The Business of Bagels! Our Voltage Groups owe a big shout-out of thanks to Tony Scotto, co-owner of THB Bagelry & Deli, for taking us behind the scenes and into the kitchen to see how the Bagels (and sandwiches and omelets) are made. The story of THB is one of Italian Immigrants who are taking a new twist on the American Dream, as they are still making the dough in bagels rather than pizza. It is too long and too fascinating a story to recount here, but if you happen to catch one of the Scotto family members in one of their 7 stores (which they are most of the time), ask them the story of how they got started, and you will not be disappointed. "We serve energy" is one of my favorite THB sayings. And if you have ever been in one of their stores, you will see that they don't just say it, they live it. You always walk out of there with more energy than when you entered (even if you don't get a coffee!) Tony has been with our Voltage Group for over a year, and everyone would agree that he has brought the energy to our group as well. On behalf of all of our members - we say "Thanks Tony and THB!"
