On March 13, 2025, Ms. Janthapat Saichumin, Deputy Director of the BOI New York Office, and Mr. Anawat Chullasewok visited the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) office, meeting with Mr. Gaetan-Nicolas Bernimolin, Senior Manager of Government Contracts, and Mr. Fraser Leckie, Senior Coordinator of Government Contracts. The discussion focused on potential opportunities for collaboration between the two sides, with an emphasis on [generating] mutual economic benefits. Ms. Janthapat provided an overview of Thailand’s investment landscape, highlighting key incentives and promotion packages designed to support U.S. companies in high-growth sectors seeking opportunities in Thailand. The meeting also explored potential areas for cooperation that align with shared strategic interests, reinforcing the strong economic ties between Thailand and the U.S.

Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), New York Office, and his team participated in the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 2025, held from January 29–31 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. IPPE is the largest U.S. annual showcase of technology, machinery, equipment, and suppliers for the production and processing of eggs, meat, and poultry, as well as feed manufacturing. The event brought together over 1,300 companies and industry leaders from across the globe. The BOI New York Office leveraged this platform to highlight Thailand’s investment potential in the agriculture and food industries. As an agriculture-based economy, Thailand presents significant opportunities for U.S. businesses looking to establish or expand their presence in Southeast Asia. The country offers a strategic gateway to the region’s growing markets, along with opportunities to collaborate with local partners, enhance production efficiency, and integrate advanced technologies into Thailand’s agricultural and food sectors for the benefit of the industry and investors. During the event, Director Nanthapol engaged with key industry players, visiting targeted company booths to discuss Thailand’s investment incentives and government support for the agriculture and food industries. Discussions were held with both BOI-promoted companies and new potential investors, including companies specializing in automation and packaging technologies, digital farming solutions for poultry production, food preservation, and bioplastics manufacturing. Additionally, Director Nanthapol met with Honorary Consul-General Mr. R. William Ide III to provide updates on Thailand’s foreign direct investment (FDI) landscape, BOI’s investment promotion policies, and opportunities for collaboration with Atlanta-based private sector players in targeted industries looking to establish a presence in Thailand. Beyond the expo, Director Nanthapol conducted site visits to key businesses in Atlanta. He visited a global beverage company to learn more about its expansion plans in Thailand and toured a leading email marketing services provider that is exploring Thailand’s potential as a regional hub for digital business operations. #IPPE2025
