Avoid looking at your phone, notes, or away for too long. 2. Body Language: Lean slightly forward to signal engagement. Avoid crossing your arms or looking too stiff, as it can seem closed off or disinterested. 3. Tone of Voice: Avoid monotony or overly energetic inflections, which may feel fake. 4. Pausing to Listen: Don’t rush to speak. Let the client fully explain their thoughts before responding, showing you value their input. 5. Use Their Language: Mirror key phrases or terminology they use to connect on their level. 6. Ask Open-Ended Questions 7. Avoid Overloading with Sales Jargon: Focus on the value of your services instead of emphasizing costs or upselling right away. Remember, it takes practice. Run a marathon, not a race.
