Please join us in congratulating Amy Giles and Amber Prange for being our Leader and Employee of Quarter 3, 2024! ?? This is what some of their team members had to say about them: Amy has successfully guided her staff and department through significant challenges. She provided leadership and support to the entire Wound Care team during a hospital acquisition while also managing a department relocation. Amy collaborated with various team members and agencies to ensure a smooth transition for both employees and patients, managing to close operations for just one day. Throughout this period, she adapted to new systems, hired new staff, maintained daily operations, and increased the patient caseload. Despite these demands, Amy has consistently led her team to achieve the "Center of Distinction" Award. She exemplifies leadership by setting a strong example and offering assistance in any way possible. Amy is the kind of leader who inspires her team to strive for excellence. Under her guidance, the Wound Care Center has experienced remarkable growth. Anyone that knows Amber knows that she will go above and beyond for both the patients and staff at TGH Crystal River every single time. Amber is beyond compassionate about her stroke and sepsis patients and takes great pride in leading the team to provide outstanding care. Amber takes every opportunity available to educate the staff on the processes and best practices for caring for both stroke and sepsis patients. She follows the care of her patients from arrival to discharge and even follows up after they go home to ensure we have met the patient's expectations and is always finding ways to improve the programs.

Please join us in congratulating Amber Prange on being awarded the Power of One September 2024 award! ?? Her excellence shines through in these kind words written by one of her team members: "Anyone that knows Amber knows that she will go above and beyond for both the patients and staff at TGH Crystal River every single time. Amber is constantly challenging the staff to do better and give the best care possible. She has created friendly competitions through the creation of the TGH Brain Pin and September Sepsis Month competition to help encourage our nursing staff to be even better than they already are, striving for excellence in patient care. With the TGH Brain Pin competition our stroke patients are receiving Tenecteplase faster than ever before. Tenectaplase is an emergent medication that works best when given as soon as possible post stroke to dissolve dots, often preventing permanent, life altering disability to the patient. Since implementing the pin competition, we have decreased our door to administration time?by nearly 30 minutes! While this is a team effort and could not be completed alone, Amber leads the way to pushing the team towards excellence in quality care."
