TextOre and the International Republican Institute’s Countering Foreign Authoritarian Influence (CFAI) Team collaborated on an excellent report titled "China’s Approach to Influencing Elections and Political Processes to its Strategic Advantage." This report examines how the People’s Republic of China (PRC) works to shape elections in other countries. The efforts are constant, working to maintain "a political status quo conducive to PRC and CCP interests rather than at yielding a certain election result." Recent analysis from TextOre delves into "The Fate of Yevgeniy Prigozhin's Information Operations Infrastructure." Prigozhin, recognized for leading a mercenary army and as "Putin’s chef," heavily invested in Russia's disinformation campaign through media outlets and the Internet Research Agency, also known as the “Troll Farm.” These operations ceased following Prigozhin's failed mutiny and demise, with no apparent revival, indicating that remaining assets may be absorbed by Russian “special services.” While the Russian government may see a benefit to maintaining a nominal separation from the state for these services, they would likely establish a controlled structure.
