?? Meet Shawna Papenthien, Texoma Community Credit Union's learning and development specialist! With 11 years in the industry, she’s all about that credit union life. ??What is your favorite thing about working at a credit union? The mission-driven, service-focused environment of credit unions has been my favorite thing. Acts of Service is my love language, so giving that to others fills my cup. ??What is one thing that surprises most people about you? I am secretly an introvert who has learned to work well in extroverted environments. I've had people argue with me when I tell them that. ?? ??What is your favorite place you’ve traveled? Yellowstone National Park. It was unforgettable, even as a teenager. I plan on going back in the next two years or so. ??What’s your favorite non-profit to support? Backdoor Theatre in Wichita Falls. They are the only nonprofit theater in the Wichita Falls area and their mission is to enrich, educate, and entertain the Greater Wichita Falls area through the performing arts. Backdoor has directly impacted my kids and myself by providing a safe outlet for expression, and emotions, and a community. The arts are so often overlooked in the nonprofit sector and Backdoor has been successful for over 5 years. I am honored to serve on the Board of Directors to help advocate for a demand space for the arts in our community. ??If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
