SBOE Charter Approval A defining moment: receiving official approval from the State Board of Education. This milestone validated years of research, planning, and dedication, officially green-lighting our open-enrollment tuition-free girls' charter school. ???? 3. Building Our Founding Team We've attracted extraordinary educators and leaders whose expertise spans STEM, education innovation, and school development. Their shared commitment to excellence is already shaping our school's future. Each hire has been strategic, ensuring we have the right talent to deliver on our ambitious vision. ?? 2. Establishing TRAIL Values Developing our TRAIL values through community input—Texas Science & Culture, Relationships, Advancing Women, Intentional Growth, and Love of Learning—was a collaborative triumph. Launch of Enrollment Our community launch as Austin's Tuition-Free Open-Enrollment Girls' Charter School marked the moment our vision connected with families. Offering a nurturing environment, tuition-free education, and open enrollment under TEA accountability standards, she is committed to delivering the highest-quality public education to our future students. This month, we're introducing you to our Board! Meet our dynamic Board Chair, Kimberly Cameron, a nursing professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Austin Community College. With decades of experience in STEM and community service, Kimberly brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and dedication to The Texas Girls School. Her commitment to education and service is an inspiration, and we are thrilled to have her guiding our mission to empower young women.

I am incredibly humbled and honored to share that the Texas State Board of Education has voted to approve our Texas Charter School! This monumental step means we are now awaiting the final contract from the Texas Education Agency. Soon, we’ll begin building our dream school and accepting the inaugural class of 2025 students in the Central Texas area! ? ? My Overwhelming Gratitude to the Entire Team ? ?
