Texas Wood Supply began in 1979 as Valley Carpenters Inc. in Mission, TX, later becoming South Texas Moulding Inc. and moving to Donna, TX in 1984. It was the first company south of San Antonio to produce hardwood moulding, meeting the needs of the growing residential market. Expanding from 1 to 7 locations in the '90s and 2000s, including Brownsville, Mission, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Houston, and San Antonio, TWS has produced over 500 million feet of moulding. From humble beginnings with one moulder and rip saw, TWS now operates with advanced equipment, over 100 employees, and decades of experience, offering mouldings, cabinets, doors, plywood, millwork, and more.

Manufacturing wood products uses significantly less energy than making concrete or steel, and at Weyerhaeuser we are always looking for ways to operate even more efficiently at every stage of production. Over the years, we’ve made major investments to modernize and optimize our mills so that they run efficiently and produce very little waste. ?? Employee of the Year Alert! ?? A huge shoutout to Armando "Mando" Soto, the well-deserved winner of Texas Wood Supply’s 2024 Employee of the Year! ???? At our annual Kickoff Meeting, we recognized Mando for his dedication, hard work, and overall excellence. As our material handler and inventory manager in the Door Shop, he stepped up in a big way this past year, taking on more responsibilities (and a few extra headaches) while keeping everything running smoothly. Mando took home the TWS Championship Belt ?? (bragging rights included) and $500 in his pocket to celebrate! ??
