This week the ASCE - Texas Section released its report card for Texas' infrastructure. While there were some bright spots, the new grades for state drinking water and wastewater infrastructure are alarming. In fact, and as discussed in this Texas 2036 article, the state's water infrastructure grades were downgraded. This means that we're moving backwards with regard to making progress towards fixing Texas' water infrastructure challenges. One reasonable solution, that is also explored here, is to follow the lesson of Texas' financial strategy for road and highway infrastructure: create a constitutionally-dedicated revenue stream for water. https://lnkd.in/gaaaABx7
