The Texas Water Infrastructure Network (TXWIN) is a 501(C)(6) trade association based in Austin, Texas that works directly with the Texas Legislature, funding and regulatory agencies, political subdivisions, and other industry groups to represent and promote the interests of all Texas businesses involved in Texas water construction markets. The Texas Water Infrastructure Network (TXWIN) is a member driven organization that promotes the interests of Texas companies involved in all aspects of Texas water construction markets. the only statewide industry association solely dedicated to issues related to water infrastructure construction in Texas. TXWIN was founded by a group of like-minded Texas general contractors specializing in the construction of water infrastructure to serve as a voice for the industry on regulatory and legislative issues that impact the development of water infrastructure markets in Texas. BIG MOVES for Pflugerville’s wastewater infrastructure! ???? The 54-inch wastewater interceptor is a key piece in launching operations at the new Wilbarger Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility. This critical project will support pfuture growth and expand services farther east. ?? “The new wastewater infrastructure is great for the City and also for the community as it helps provide for organized, well thought out development,” said Jeff Dunsworth, Assistant Utility Director. With a $21.3 million investment, the City is working with the EPA WIFIA Program and Texas Water Development Board to secure lower interest rates for rate payers. #PflugervilleTX #Wastewaster #Infrastructure #Growth

This week the ASCE - Texas Section released its report card for Texas' infrastructure. While there were some bright spots, the new grades for state drinking water and wastewater infrastructure are alarming. In fact, and as discussed in this Texas 2036 article, the state's water infrastructure grades were downgraded. This means that we're moving backwards with regard to making progress towards fixing Texas' water infrastructure challenges. One reasonable solution, that is also explored here, is to follow the lesson of Texas' financial strategy for road and highway infrastructure: create a constitutionally-dedicated revenue stream for water. https://lnkd.in/gaaaABx7
