"It is hard to believe that I started at THIE in October of 1985, and now THIE will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. Both are wonderful milestones, and I consider myself blessed to have worked with many great individuals and hospitals along the way. The insureds who have been with THIE since I started here are like family to me and the new subscribers and their agents are wonderful friends in the making. I look forward to THIE’s continued growth."

Take a moment to read Linda's story and join us in celebrating her commitment to THIE! "I joined THIE on June 26, 2000. On my first day, Randal walked me and my Coca-Cola stapler to my desk. He opened a cabinet in complete disarray, filled with filing, ISO indexing, and other tasks that needed to be done—along with EDI for workers’ compensation, which no one knew how to handle back then. From that moment on, I became the go-to person: a jack of all trades and the “locator” of file information. I remember thinking, “I won’t be here for five years.” Fast forward 25 years, and I’m still here—without regret or “what if” in my mind. THIE is where I am meant to be, and I hope to retire here. In my 25 years, I’ve worked in three THIE offices: 290, 360, and now our new headquarters in Georgetown. I’ve witnessed THIE overcome countless “David vs. Goliath” moments, demonstrating resilience and determination. Along the way, we’ve achieved incredible milestones, like earning an A- rating with AM Best, issuing Subscriber refund checks, and expanding our reach to serve healthcare facilities in Oklahoma and Arkansas. One of the most meaningful changes I’ve seen was when Tess became President. Her leadership strengthened our relationships with insureds, allowing us to connect with them beyond business—building trust and partnership at events like the Columbus Community Hospital Annual Dinner, the Preferred Management Fish Fry, and the Wilbarger General Hospital Caring Gala (to name a few). My journey at THIE has been one of growth. I started in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant, earned my workers’ compensation adjuster license in 2010, my multi-line adjuster license in 2020, and an associate’s in insurance in 2022. I’ve also been fortunate to work with an incredible team—most of our Claims department has been together for 20+ years, building deep friendships and trust. There are countless great memories, but one thing stands out: THIE’s ability to build lasting, meaningful relationships—with staff, vendors, and insureds alike. That’s what makes THIE truly special."
