Good morning all, I'm feeling very grateful, excited, and blessed on this Monday morning. First and foremost, I want to thank God for all things. His grace and guidance continue to open doors, and I am beyond grateful for the opportunities ahead. I am thrilled to share that I have accepted an offer to join the Salesforce Futureforce Tech Launchpad (FTL) program, by CodePath x Futureforce: Salesforce University Recruiting! ?? Hello Everyone, I’m beyond excited to announce that I have accepted an offer to be a Microsoft Explore Intern this summer! This is an incredible opportunity to learn from industry leaders, work on innovative collaborative projects, and take the next step in my future career in tech. I am so grateful to Microsoft for this chance, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in their innovative culture and collaborate with my fellow peers in the field. A heartfelt thank you to Texas herScript and Kenna Nyuga-Galega for their unwavering support and guidance throughout this application season. Above all, I am deeply grateful to God for being my constant source of strength and my foundation as I embark on this exciting new chapter. Last month, I had the privilege of attending AFROTECH for the second time, and what an incredible experience it was! It’s always inspiring to connect with brilliant minds and passionate individuals across the tech industry. This year felt particularly special, shifting from being an attendee searching for opportunities last year to spearheading events alongside Maame Abena Boateng as co-founders of herScript: Black Women in Tech Initiative! Witnessing the growth of herScript over the past year has been nothing short of incredible, and it’s a testament to the power of community and collaboration. As a student-led organization, we owe much appreciation to our corporate sponsors, UnitedHealth Group Optum and Intuit whose support and partnership have made our mission possible. A heartfelt thank you to the herScript executive board as well; your hard work and dedication continue to push us toward new heights. This past November, AFROTECH 2024 was nothing short of transformative, and herScript was thrilled to return for our second year of bringing students to this powerful event! AfroTech continues to provide unimaginable career and professional development opportunities for students. From engaging with an industry-agnostic range of companies to connecting with peers and being inspired by the excellence of Black talent across numerous fields, the possibilities truly feel endless. herScript was determined to continue providing this opportunity for our members through the support of UnitedHealth Group Optum, Intuit, and herScript: Black Women in Tech Initiative for sponsorship. Texas herScript held the Third General Body Meeting of Fall 2024 featuring corporate sponsor, KPMG US. This meeting was focused on the intersection of technology and consulting. ?????? The meeting provided attendees with the introduction of KMPG and all of the firm’s facets, offerings, and opportunities for different levels within the early career path. To gain a little more insight on the day to day realities, a panel of KPMG representatives answered questions and gave advice on their experiences on early career and at KMPG.
